Slide decks are everywhere. Like it or not, they’re the standard format for business communication. Why not get good at telling a story in this medium? I recently ran a training on how to build effective and attractive presentations.
What’s Darth Vadar doing up there? Watch the presentation to find out…
In the presentation, I go into length about:
Creating story using “situation,” “complication,” “resolution”
Writing compelling content that is specific, novel, and interesting
Using standard page templates for specific purposes
De-wording bullets to make them short and punchy
Building attractive pages by paying attention to white space, etc.
Making presentations better and faster with a few other tips and tricks
Please let me know what you think and leave a comment if this helps you!

Just completely loved it! I was supposed to recently present my research to the best thesis writing service I was working closely with, and to tell you the honest truth, composing the slides was even much harder than writing the paper. I really like Shawn's structure, especially the situation, complication, resolution, because it really helped me convert dry numbers to clear, compelling stories. Oh, and the de-wording bullets and pretty much open, white space advice has made my slides so much more cleaner. Super helpful to anyone writing and presenting!

Great insights, Shawn! As a presentation designer in the UAE, I completely agree that mastering the art of storytelling through slide decks is essential. Your tips on structuring content and focusing on design elements like white space are invaluable.
